VDC off Lamp illuminated

Just had my tires rotated last week, and now the VDC lamp is coming on for no reason. Has anyone had a simular experience? If so, what did it take to correct the problem.

Is the VDC light intermittently on and off or steady? There is a VDC switch located lower left of the steering under the dash , typically above your left knee when you sit on the driver side.

The only thing I could think of is low brake fluid due to break pads getting thinner and needs replacement.

The light is on all the time. I have tried turning the VDC switch on and off, but that did not make any difference. I am going to check my brakes as per your suggestion though. The vehicle has only 38000 kms, but all of it has been city driving. I will be replacing my tires as well as the Dunlop SP7000 tires have gotten so noisey, it sounds like a off road truck on the road.

I should have my a** kicked...added two tablespoons of brake fluid and voula...VDC lamp is off. Thanks for you help though.
