The warning lights on the dash of my '06 350Z come on often, and don't go off even after restarting the car. The 3 lights are: VDC off, BRAKE (even though the emerg. brake is off), and SLIP. I tried pressing the VDC off button, but the lights remain on.

I had this exact same problem with my Xterra. There ended up being two fixes, and either of them could be what's wrong with your car. One was a bad ABS sensor. The other was a crimp in the wiring harness causing a short.

Hey thanks, I'll check the ABS sensors first...prob. just should start replacing one at a time, correct?

The dealer was able to use a scanner to figure out which of the sensors was causing the issue, I believe. However, that diagnostic is pretty costly, so it might be cheaper (but require more labor) to just do a visual inspection of all of them to see if there's metal or dirt around the sensor. Might be as simple as that.

My first bet would be an ABS malfunction. Low fluid level can cause the BRAKE light to pop, but I don't think that would trip the SLIP light - but I'm not certain.

Have you checked the FSM troubleshooting section?

A common problem with the 03-06 Z's were the faulty cam position sensors, if none of the aforementioned work you might want to check that as well.

Did you happen to take apart any part of your dash just before this happened? I had this happen when I disconnected the box/computer that is connected to the climate controls. If you leave that disconnected it will cause these lights to come on. After hooking it back up your check engine light may be on as well.
