Rewired and eliminated connector block on throttlebody TPS to be sure the connector wasn’t the issue. Cleared codes and disconnected battery for several hours. After reconnect, and relearn completed- no lights, no codes, and car started fine and ran well at all rpms. After car warmed up VDC OFF and SLIP and CEL came on and rpms will not go higher than about 1500. The following codes on OBDII scanner:
P0100
P1446
P0121
P0120
P1121
P1145
P0720
Cant figure out which sensor or component is causing this. Has been duplicated with original throttlebody, used throttlebody and reman throttlebody unit.

When car cools down, lights go away and car starts and runs fine. Heats up lights trigger and runs poorly or will not start.

I'd like to renew my suggestion from your other thread for a can of freeze spray to cool various components as the car warms up.

Pardon me if you answered these questions, but I didn't see a clear response from your original thread - tps-throttle-body-failure-when-warm-t625444-30.html

1. Does anything change if you bypass the throttle body spacer?
2. You said you replaced the camshaft sensor with an OEM one. Could you accurately describe the sensor/location you switched out? I made an instructional because the sensors can be confusing.

#3 is the one I replaced but I did also tried it in both #1 positions to see if it would help. None of them made a difference.

So after all the guessing and hassle, it turned out to be a bad used throttle body, a bad rebuilt throttle body from cardone purchased from partsgeek.com and I finally purchased an R&R service from RockAuto but was supposed to be rebuilt by cardone. I would not recommend RockAuto or Cardone

I cannot tell you how many times I have found that 'rebuilt' usually means cleaned up garbage that was broken to begin with.
Not true of course for OEM remanned pieces.
Anyway, I think the reminder is a good one: If your car still has the original factory piece, you will do best to have YOUR piece properly rebuilt (there may be exceptions if a casting/case is damaged, etc). I've done my own starters, PS pumps and a few other things. The problem with DIY overhauls can be sourcing proper wear out parts.

Agreed-but these parts were OEM rebuilds with Hitachi TPS. I just think the first reman wasn’t done properly. Or the TPS was defective. Still a lot of time wasted. Hopefully my frustration will save someone else the headache later.

I wouldn't trust cardone to rebuild a click-style ball point pen.

Congrats on sticking with it and getting it sorted out. And thank you for circling back to share the solution with the forum.
