I checked the fluid, it is dark and it is below the full mark, yet higher then the minimum mark. I'll just take her in and bleed the brakes to do a brake fluid flush.
I gotta say tho, the brakes on this car are phenomenal compared to most of the sedans I've driven. And I've had some higher end AMG's and M BMW's. This M35x, albeit the cheapest luxo sedan I've owned, still impresses me daily and I am always excited to get in and drive! Just a beautiful and elegant vehicle.
Thank you again guys, much appreciative of your knowledge!
I had this same problem on Thursday, still not sure what happened. Pulled out of my garage to go to lunch, about 2 miles up the road noticed VDC OFF, SLIP and BRAKE were on - freaked me out. Tested, definitely had no traction control. I literally just did an all four wheel brake job a few weeks ago so I knew that wasn't it. Checked my fluid, everything was fine.
Upon visually inspecting the car, the ONLY thing I could find was a small twig logged in the rear passenger caliper/rotor area. After dislodging the twig, restarting the car, all lights cleared and haven't come back since. Yesterday, I replaced my rear calipers with Brakemotive's rebuilt/powder coated calipers and didn't see anything. After the replacement, the dash lights stayed off.
I've got to agree with you, I'm impressed, daily, with my M45. I've owned a few Audis, BMWs and other European 'luxury/sports' cars (wife still has two). I like that I can drive the Infiniti without wondering "what's going to break today?" But, lucky for me, with two German cars still in the household, I get plenty to work on.
