I don't know why, but these three dummy lights are on, on my dash and for no reason.
The ebrake is not depressed. The VDC is NOT turned off and the SLIP only should occur when the car is slipping, but its on all the time regardless...

Any ideas? Is this somewhat of a common issue? Any idea how to fix it?
Battery seems ok, its starts and runs like it should without hiccup.
FYI, the average temps these days are 0 -> -5*. Does this have anything to do with it?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys
Aj

I do joke sometimes but not like that. It may be as simple as your pads are so worn or disks so turned that the fluid is just a bit under the full line. Also flush brake fluid every 2-3 years to prevent corrosion buildup.

Well thank you again for the information!
I checked the fluid, it is dark and it is below the full mark, yet higher then the minimum mark. I'll just take her in and bleed the brakes to do a brake fluid flush.
I gotta say tho, the brakes on this car are phenomenal compared to most of the sedans I've driven. And I've had some higher end AMG's and M BMW's. This M35x, albeit the cheapest luxo sedan I've owned, still impresses me daily and I am always excited to get in and drive! Just a beautiful and elegant vehicle.

Thank you again guys, much appreciative of your knowledge!

I had this same problem on Thursday, still not sure what happened. Pulled out of my garage to go to lunch, about 2 miles up the road noticed VDC OFF, SLIP and BRAKE were on - freaked me out. Tested, definitely had no traction control. I literally just did an all four wheel brake job a few weeks ago so I knew that wasn't it. Checked my fluid, everything was fine.

Upon visually inspecting the car, the ONLY thing I could find was a small twig logged in the rear passenger caliper/rotor area. After dislodging the twig, restarting the car, all lights cleared and haven't come back since. Yesterday, I replaced my rear calipers with Brakemotive's rebuilt/powder coated calipers and didn't see anything. After the replacement, the dash lights stayed off.

I've got to agree with you, I'm impressed, daily, with my M45. I've owned a few Audis, BMWs and other European 'luxury/sports' cars (wife still has two). I like that I can drive the Infiniti without wondering "what's going to break today?" But, lucky for me, with two German cars still in the household, I get plenty to work on.

A quick update for you guys. Turns out, my front driver side wheel bearings went out on me. Possibly the cause for the lights. After the dealer swapped out bearings, the three lights have not come back on.

I did have them check brake fluid levels and all was fine. Fluid was decently clean too. Also noticed the lights would turn off when temps were above 20*. Below that, it turns on. And it's been brutally cold here in MN the last few weeks.
So prolly just due to the wheel bearing. Only driven the car a handful of miles yet so this week will be the real test. Will report back.
