VDC and Loss of Power

After driving 1.5 hours @ 70+ mph, I reached a busy highway @ 80 mph. All of the sudden, the VDC light cam on and a major loss of power and jerky power supply. Dropped to 40 mph until I could get off the highway.

After a waiting a while, I restarted the car, tested in the parking lot and was off for another 6 hours of driving (140 miles) on and off without incident, including a 2.5 hour return trip. Some hilly roads for after the incident.

This is the second time; the other happened while approaching and leaving a stop sign. e mechanic got a mass airflow sensor code and replaced ($450). I a similar issue in the Rogue forum. Bur this is a 2012 Altima, 3.0 V6, w/123,000 miles.

Anyone have this issue with an Altima? Any feedback or guidance?
