NO, 4300K - 5000K are the brightest light output.... if you go with 5000K, you still get the diamond white look... 6000K is a bit bluish, and 8000K is purple... higher chance of getting a ticket from an anal LEO with anything >6000KCC-ski wrote:ah so 6K is brighter? I like the bluish as well but I also like the high output. I just want something thats going to look ALOT better than the standard halogen ones I have now....
Just stick your old bulbs back in, it's that simple!team_work wrote:does putting hids do anything to the factory warranty??? i want to get some but dont want to get something that voids the warranty.
8000K is purple/blue! That's very played out, not to mention, attention grabbing from the wrong folks. I have 5000K and I believe it's THE best balance of looks and output. 5000K has MUCH MORE light output than 8000K does.CC-ski wrote:Cool, its good to hear that they wont cost an arm and a leg. The ones I saw for $99 had a 1yr warrenty on bulbs and ballasts. I was thinking going 8K like yours.
I think OEM's are 4300K, someone correct me if I'm wrongCC-ski wrote:so it sounds like my decision is narrowed down to 5K or 6K. I never really considered 5K but I definitly am leaning toward it now....I just dont want ANY yellow. Are OEM HIDs 5K?
Just trust me on this one, 5000K will look WAY different than Silverstars! It's like night and day between the two, there's no comparsion!CC-ski wrote:ok i think im going with the 5K. Generic swayed me...LMAO. I had silverstars once that burned at 4K and they looked ok....im just hoping HID 5K will be a good jump and ill notice a good difference...
thanks!!generic808 wrote: You did a good thing.
Funny how that link listed 6000K as being "pure white". 6000K is noticeably more blue than 5000K. 4300K-5000K is considered the color temp of sunlight, so it won't fatigue your eyes like higher temps would.
