varnished injectors?

If the injectors for my ka24de were varnished from sitting.. is it possible that they would only allow enough fuel to pass through them to rev to 4000 RPM? Did an experiment today, sprayed fuel into the intake just when it started to run crappy, and it revved up perfectly fine, so obviously its not getting enough fuel... tested the TPS and MAF today and both checked out to be fine... still getting codes 14 and 34 for VSS and knock sensor, but i dont think that they are relevant to the engine problems.
