Hey i finally got my SR20 road worthy but there is still a few quarks to work out. First off when I start the car cold it takes a while for it to catch; I have to pump the gas or open the throttle body a little bit for it to start and then it does its normal cold idle routines and all that but occasionally it'll drop down to about 300-500 bounce there then go back up to regular idle (if it hasnt stalled by then) and occasionally while I'm driving and i put in the clutch to sit at a stop light itll bounce like that at 500ish and slowly climb back to around 900. Not sure exactly what the deal is. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,Joe Racke

There is a white screw between cylinders 2 and 3 on the intake manifold. Just look straight down between the "rounded pipe thingies" (to be technical), and turn to the left slightly. You can mess around with that a touch and it should bring up the idles for you. This screw controls some kind of engine air/fuel/idle stuff. I don't know exactly. I may be wrong on what it controls, but it should help you out a little bit.

What setup are you running? Is your BOV open air? It sounds like its more than the idle adj. screw. I think alot of us have had this problem runnin the jwt setup. It s an easy fix.

adjusted that screw bout 180 degrees and it started up good; going to let it cool down and try it from a cold start and see if that works. Thanks for your help.

sort of; it still starts up crappy. I never got a TPS do you think that could be a problem I heard its recommended to replace that but I wasn't sure if it was a mandatory type mod so didn't get it yet. It basically just has a hard time startin up and i have to pump the throttle to get it to start once it starts it does well.

messed with it this morning; it would barely start when i had the MAFS plugged in and then it would die if i let it idle. If I took it out it started up fine and idled fine but can't take it above 2500 RPMs or it gets real choppy and would most likely stall. This is the 2nd MAFS i've tried. The first one I had ordered and it didn't work this one is from a SOHC KA. Any ideas to what my problem is and/or how to fix it?
