variable valve timing

The s14 sr20 has variable valve timing, right? Won't that make up for the whole sr20det vs ka24det issue?

SR20 vs KA24 is a totally differnet issue than comparing VVT to non VVT...the S14 has a VVT intake cam...it adds a few more HP to the motor but VVT causes problems with higher horse power motors...not to say its a bad thing to have (quite the contrary) but i dont see why u could compare a S14 SR to a KA24det???
