Same reasones i debadged mine too, looks a lot cleaner. I was also wondereing when you'd make an appearance, you were the only other memeber from around here when i started this thread.

By the way, where did you get your springs from? and how much? There's a local shop in vancouver, kingsway area that's selling them for $200

I got my springs from a Stillen GB... sent it to a shipping company in Point Roberts, and got a friend from Surrey to pick them up for me. Long process yes, but I'm not in a hurry haha

I'm going to install them probably this spring with a couple mechanic friends after I take my winter tires off.

So in that case i guess you didn't pay any duties on them? shipping is a killer for us if we want anything from stillen. i want to get the front fascia but that would cost an arm and a leg to ship

I still pay duty on it when I bring it back, usually customs will ask you what you're bringing back, and ask you to show them a receipt. You can use the one that's sent to your email. There's a way to lower the duty you pay. PM me if you want to know lol

Ah some secret tricks to get the duties down, i'll give you a shout when i need to know how it's done. I won't be buying anything else for my car for a while since i'm tight on cash. i'm just getting cheaper stuff for now, i got the racingline sts for a discount since it was a pre-production model, gonna get some transmission fluid and that's about it for a while, but the next mod will probly be springs, just trying to find out what's the best way to get them. if i can get them local for 200 bucks without having to deal with going to the states or having it shipped i think i'll probly do that.

but when things pick up and i'm able to afford some more extensive mods i'm sure you'll hear from me for that duties tip since the parts will most likely come from the US. not enoug stuff made in canada thank goodness for racingline!

To be honest if you can get those springs for 200 bux, that's a pretty good deal. I think I paid around that, and that's with all the trouble... Last I checked locally my friend could only get them at Lordco for ~300, and that's with a discount from them.

Think about it, Stillen is selling them for like 212 right now or something anyways, throw in the exchange rate and it'll easily be over 250.

i think that the fact that ICBC not covering accidents would be the main reason i wouldn't consider doing any racing. you never know if some jacka** would try to make a pass and nail you.
