After warming up and idling for 20-30 seconds in traffic, if I hit the gas, a puff of blue smoke comes out the exhaust. It only happens after the car idles for a little bit and doesn't burn oil constantly so I am convinced it's just the valve stem seals. My question is, I plan on swapping the motor out in the next few months, would I be hurting anything to just leave the condition the way it is and check the oil level often? Or is this something that should get attention now? Thanks...

your fine, just make sure to check that oil every 500mi or sooner, depending on how fast you loose it.
