I have a set of wheels I got from japan, and they came with metal valve stems (they are fastend with a nut on the inside of the rims with rubber washers on either side). The front valve stems are crazy short, enough that I cant get my tire pressure gauge or air compressor on the valves because they are unflexible and so damn close to the rim. Now, I dont feel like paying $30 to have my tires taken off and put back on so I can have the front valve stems replaced with generic rubber ones. Anyone know of a place that sells valve stem extensions? something that could just screw on when I want to check tire pressure or fill them up...

do you think that its possible to just take the valves out and put regular ones in? just the valves not the entire stem.

I would have to take off the tires to replace the valve stems.

Have you asked the local tire shop? We have countless miniature extensions.

The valve is threaded inside the stem. I dont see how changing this would make any difference at all, the stem is still way too short.

I will try a tire shop tommorow

i work at uhaul and what you request does exist, however i don't know where to get them...we use them to easily check tire pressures on the inside of rear dual wheels
