valve seal removal

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i am trying to take the valve seals out of my 93 ka head, but im not sure if they are just the littel rubber part or the whole metal part that the valve stem slides in. thanks for any input.

Just the little rubber seals on the tips, they also have metal reinforcement on the bottom of the seal. Pry or use a slidehammer carefully to remove, try not to nick the side of the cylinder where the bucket rides.

ive tried to pry and i have already ripped 2 of them, is there a certain method to do this or any easy way to do it

You just need to find or make a tool that works. Doesnt matter if you rip them as long as you dont damage anything else.
