Thanks bro for the idea but yea i just gave supertech a call and they told me the only product they currently have for our motors are standard sized valves .....and retainers may be a possibility in the future. I love your engine build man by the way .... What retainers are you running?

Your standard retainers are more than good enough. Save your money and focus on something else.

People get the retainers for lightness not strength. If you are building a $20,000 10000 RPM 700hp beast sure, otherwise more flash than anything else.

Thanks for the info man . So you guys wouldn't be at all a little worried bout dropping a valve with stock retainers revving to 9500 ???

Lightness is a part of it for sure but strength is definitly a big factor when your putting stiffer springs and a higher lift cam in that will be makin power up into the 9000 rpm range metals can stretch bend and snap . Idk that may be just me but im no rocket scientist but i did take metallurgy in college .

No reason to rev that high, 260s won't be breathing at those speeds. 270s maybe but I don't know if the head will flow to support them.

Just at TMS said. Those cams aren't going to be making power up that high. They'll move peak power to maybe 7K at best. The stock valve train has been proven to 8K reliably.

I'm going to be using HKS 264 w/8.5mm lift with the stock hyrdo lifters, springs, etc. and am not at all worried about it.

Agreed, I only changed my head when my engineer had ensured it was required when it was on the flow bench...

I will be happy to stay in the 81-8500rpm bracket, but 9000rpm, will be the highest I will allow...
