I am sure this question has probably already been asked but i could not find it. i am rebuilding a kae-t shooting for around 400hp, now before i do this i wnated to make sure what amount of hp the components of the head can handle. do i need to replace valves and things to be stronger?

any information would be much appreciated.

valves are fine..however...valve seals and gueds are not..replace those..allso..you will need duel springs and retainers..to help handle the valve float at higher rpm's...id allso sugest arp studs of you dont all ready have em..thats about it.for what you asked.

tomei makes good valve seals..but oem works fine...i use Brian Crower duel springs and Ti retainers myself.....the guide's id just go oem..and dont for get to get a quality head gasket to..a multilayer that can handle your boost rating.

well right now i have to drive my 240 being i go to school 1.5 hours away from my house, but one of my frat brothers has a spare coupe hes going to drop an rb in so im gonna take the sohc out of it and build it to put in my car. not really a spare but a replacement that is just a spare sitting in a barn right now, but im hoping to put it around 15 psi and push between 350-400hp.
