Valve Guides

As part of my rebuild, I measured my valve guides today. The FSM says there should be no more than 0.008 in. of deflection. My intake guides were well within spec, but my exhaust guides were all around 0.020 in.! Anyone else had this problem? Who sells OEM guides for cheap?

You can order some of that stuff straight from Nissan now, I know Clasic Nissan in Orlando will order OEM SR stuff, and give you 10% off if you tell them your a 240.org member.

I think Enjukuracing would also carry or be able to get that sort of thing.

I know with the valve guides on the VG at least... it was around the same price if not cheaper to go with the Tomei valve guides.

Something you might wanna look into as well.
