What temperature rated paint can i use for painting my valve covers and timing belt cover. Their is 1200F or 500F please say that i can use the 500F paint because the 1200F only has three colors black, white, and safety orange.

If your valve covers get over 500F, you've got problems.

The 500 should be fine.

Mark it before you remove it and be sure and line it back up with the marks you made.
