What size filter is needed for this valve cover vent nipple..?? Ive went to auto zone and discount and all the filters they have, the hole's are too small for this nipple on this valve cover..

some are a real tight fit. I used one on another car and had to cut the opening a little and then use some lube to wiggle it on and then clamp it down. but I'm sure they also make the right size, just depends on how much effort you want to put into it.

ya the one in discount isnt the right size but with some brute persuasion, it will fit. its nothing serious like pulling off a rusty bolt. think of it like opening a jar of relish. lol.

You need a 5/8 breather.

Thats the way i have it now as temporary.. But i would like to as least get a filter on there OR (last resort) attach a hose to it and run it to a catch can, but thats more crap in the engine bay that i have to deal with and look at...After i rebuild this motor, i dont plan on popping anymore ring lands so I wont have to worry about oil shooting up thru the valve cover... hehe

technically you could leave it open but i highly suggest not doing that cuz if you should run into a dust storm or get caught by one of those dump trucks that dump sand every millisecond, higher risk of sumthin gettin in there. Now you could go the baller way and get the K&N one for 20 bux from summit which fits perfectly or just squeeze on the ten dollar one from discount............
