My truck is a 64 so it has the six screws attaching it to the head.

The paint is Al's Datsun Blue which comes in spray cans from Datsun Parts LLC. His store is on ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/Datsun-Parts-LLC. Search "engine blue." It has gone up to $30 a can but I got a lot of mileage out of one can. Other/cheaper similar color options may be available also.
The new oil filler cap is from Nissan. I love the Japanese characters. It's for a roadster but fits my valve cover perfectly. They were still available from Nissan when I ordered mine. Part #15255-B3430. $10 from Nissanparts.cc.
I also bought new screws and lock washers in the same size as stock for mounting the valve cover to the head. They aren't pictured but the machine screws are 1/2" in length and have a 1/2" head. The thread pitch is 1/4"-20. Part # from Fastenal is 72586. The lock washers 1/4" internal diameter, Fastenal part #71063.
I had the Datsun 1200 badge reproduced, so the one pictured on my valve cover is brand new. I have spares of these if anyone is interested in one for their truck.
