Yup this question is extremely stupid.

How do I get the middle rear bolt out to take off the valve cover? Do I have to remove the lines to get at it, because I can't get to it at all right now.

It's a 96 240.

Thanks.

Bend the bracket up...use force, lots of it.

That will give you access, use a 1/4" drive ratchet, it will help.

Or remove that bracket, either way.

Thanks, I'll do that tomorrow.

I couldn't get the bracket off because I hurt my wrist and can't apply enough pressure with the screwdriver, and couldn't get a ratchet in there.

Simply bolted the rest of the valve cover up, now it's spitting oil out...need a new gasket.
