I was just looking at my valve covers.

I'm sending a set to get powdercoated (I have a spare set I picked up).

Problem is, it seems like the tubes on top that the hoses connect to are pretty well static, and one set has them, the other set doesn't.

See photo for the tubes I'm talking about.

Does anyone know if you can remove those without damaging them? They seem really tight in there, and I'm afraid of bending them up if I try to pull them.

I am pretty sure they are press fit in there so you need to press them out. I doubt you could do it without messing up the paint on your valve covers. If someone has any bright ideas, fill me in because I would like to remove and replace those to better suit my catch can setup.

Sounds like the whole buying a spare set to avoid downtime isn't going to happen then.

I just got a nice soft rag and some channel lock pliers. Twisting more than pulling. I flipped mine around so that I could mount the catch can on the intake side without a lot of extra tubing.
