Just wondering who has done it and what their process was. I read an article in HCI a couple years back telling how to "Powder Coat" valve covers (cover used was a KA24DE), but powder coating systems can be expensive and I'd imagine the paint could be also. I think I may do this to my valve covers and Coil cover.

def if you dont know what you are doing have someone powder coat them and do it properly.

doing it wrong will be a big mess....... think paint running off the valve covers and down the side of the engine.

I have used paint and powdercoat on my cam covers...

Powdercoating is a lot more duarable and it just looks neater than painting...

It is also quite cheap to have performed...

#1 dont use laquor or enamel paint. #2 always take the valve covers off or your friggin stupid!

i dont know who told you it HAD to be heat paint, but they lied to you, your valvecovers dont get that hot, especially on 90% of the CA members here who still run a little bottom mount turbo. i dont have heat paint on mine, but it is expensive paint.
