I have two questions? Does anyone know how long it takes to reseal the passage side valve cover. And do you need to discharge the A/C ?

On my 1990 (yours should be similar) the valve cover slid out without having to discharge the AC. I did mine while doing other work. I'd say half a day to do it carefully while checking other things and replacing the spark plugs.

Use the search button and search in archived posts for much info.

Depending on how much oil has leaked and carbonized on manifold and O2 sensor........................extra clean up time may be required.

Normally both sides are done [change plugs and O2].

Yes, round up ALL the parts you could ever want to replace (knock sensors, o2's, plugs, hoses, etc) and do it all while you're in there.

You should be able to get the valve cover off without taking off the plenum. You have to be really good on the driver's side.

I agree with the others, change the plugs while you are in there, it will only take you another 30 minutes or so. Be sure to ONLY use NGK plugs. The Bosch plugs just don't work on the Q, trust me.
