I dont travel much outside the CA section but since this IS the KA section might as well share the love.

I started powder coating about a month ago doing small things for practice and tried my first Valve Cover. This one is a S14 cover with whats called Prismatic Black. I skeptical at first about the color but its what the customer wanted. So after preping it and spraying I must say in Person this color pops in a nice sutle way. Its black from a few feet away, closer you get it looks like metallic black but when light shines on it is when the fun begins.

Heres a shot I took with a flash. Now the flash exaggerates it A LOT. In regular sun light or indoor light it looks nothing like the camera flash. Im just showing what it looks like.

Looks nice. Personally, I would've polished the lettering and then masked it before doing the color - that would've really made it pop!

That's really some great work. I'd do without the glitters though. It reminds me of a bass fishing boat.

Same here I would of liked to of had the letters exposed but hey its what the customer wanted.

I have 2 S13 covers that I'm gonna do with regular black and maybe a candy red or candy orange.

Looks good. I polished mine. Took about three hours, but I like it, but powder coating is probably a better way to go.
