Anyone done that themselves yet? My mechanic pointed it out to me and quoted me $419 to do it (damn expensive shop rates in San Deezy) and I'm wondering if I should do it myself or spend the money and not burn a saturday.

Never done it myself but I saw what it looked like when my mechanic had it taken apart, Esentially you take off the whole intake manifold, and a few vacuum hoses which are all connected right above one of the the valve covers, it seems that the passengers side will be the easier one, I suggest you go get more quotes... get an infiniti dealers quote too just to compare

Locally, I got a great new mechanic up in North Park, His name is Les @ snappy auto service (owner) 4234 Mississippi StSan Diego, CA 92104(619) 491-0283

drop by there some time for a quote... tell him adam with the black QX4 sent ya (he knows me)
