I started giving my 3.5 tune up. Noticed spark plug #3 has oil in it. By in it, I mean the boot was soaked in oil, when i pulled it out. I re-inserted the boot to see how much and the oil covers the tip of the boot up to the first bend. This is where the head of the boot expands to connect to the plug.

Here is the issue, ive been told its the valve cover gasket. I been told I need to buy the entire valve cover bc it all comes together. Nissan has the gasket but not the three rings for each spark plug. :bs:

What is it? What do I need to buy?

Thanks In advance :bigthumb:

So I figured no one knew since I had 83 reviews. So here it goes:

After looking into it, I removed the valve cover (Right side which is rear). The gaskets were not the problem. It just so happens the Valve Cover has three rubber'ish rings that cover the plug cylinder. The rubber boot, over plug #3, went bad on the valve cover and oil was shooting out the valve assembly into the plug connector and collecting in the plug socket. This is the best way I can explain this.

Heads up to anyone who has this problem in the future.

I had this happen years ago on my 1999, the parts store had a gasket set with the 4 spark plug well rings, it was any easy fix with a little bit of rtv sealant to hold it in place.
