ok so obviously im pretty new to this, this is my first car and i need to change the valve cover gasket. its a 1990 hatch with a sohc. i need to get my car inspected..it hasn't been since october, and the guy didnt want to dyno my car because its leaking oil and i knew it was but i just haven't gotten around to changing it

so the question is..someone said something about tension or tightening it after i put it on and i searched and i didnt really find much, any help ?

they were probably talking about torquing the bolts to factory spec. you can find the tightening procedure and torque specs in the fsm.
