valve cover breather problems

i reciently put a valve cover breather on my s13 sr and now when i push the clutch in to stop or turn the engine dies...i reroute it to the intake and its not near as bad. is there somthing i can do to keep the valve cover breather? have any of u expierienced this problem? i really dont want oil in my intake and turbo.

Did you put a cap on the other side?I have a breather on my sr and it never gave me any problems.

You got other problems, a breather on the valve cover should not be causing that. I'm guessing a vacuum/ boost leak somewhere. Are you recirculating your BOV? It might help.

yeah i have a cap on the intake nipple and i have a stock smic w/bov recirculated. i looked around for boost leaks but found none. i also put the old hose back on and it seems better but it still idles at about 8-900 rpm(dont know if this is normal) no matter where i set the idle screw at and it still dies sometimes when i let off the gas. the rpms dip way down and then make thir way back to 8-900 rpm. i dont know what the hell is wrong...right now i'm running an open dp while im waiting for my cat back to come in but i dont think that should make a difference.

lol, open down pipe eh? well that answers that.....you should be fine once you attach your exaust. it doesn't die under load does it?
