nah i deleted it.....thought it was pretty stupid so i changed my mind and deleted it.

But um according to their blue book, the coupe is only worth $15,100. I checked kbb and it said that my coupe is worth $20,125 (excellent), 19,125 (good) and $17,700 (fair). They checked my car and they even admitted that its in really great condition. It only has 9k miles and they still offered me $15,100 and thats the highest they would go because of some lame excuses they gave me. I just laughed at the guy and walked out. But if youre planning on selling your car and a dealer calls you because theyre interested in buying it, dont even waste your time going.

Nice to know. If a dealer really does not want the car then they will low ball you like that. Just use carmax if you want to sell your car for around blue book. Usually dealers will offer you more for the trade when you are jumping into a NEW car of theirs.

When trading in my F-150 they offered me 4 grand when it KBB'd at 15k. They even showed me the KBB they printed out. They just really did not want the car.

The only time you should trade your car is if its on the verge on falling apart. Dealers will always give you wholesale price, never BB, PP, or trade.

Dealers don't use the blue book, they either use the Black Book or the NADA guide...

And a dealer is not going to give you the full value of your car...they have to sell it and make a profit on it...they're not there to give you the best deal, they're there to make money.

yea the funny thing is that I put it on craigslist so that I can get atleast bb price. Then they called me bcuz they wanted to buy it and thought they would give me the bb price. I didnt go to them and ask them to buy my car or try to trade it in. The guy then tells me to try and sell it private party which what I was trying to do all this time. Its alright, atleast now I know better.
