I actually live in Japan (Zama City, Kanagawa) I recently found Datsun 320 pickup, some what abandon - I am now trying to find the owner. I want to buy if the price is right and restore, but I have no Idea of the value. Outward appearance - some surface rust and that is all I know - No idea about engine or rust on the frame or other conditions. Any one have idea about how much this truck is worth.

I will try and take pictures and post later. Thanks

I own a 320 and have owned two others.

Values on the 320s are fairly soft, primarily because of the lack of availability of parts to complete a thorough restoration.

Thanks for your reply. If I cannot find the owner and the vehicle original registration it will just rust away. There are also several Datsun 310 bluebirds in the same place and in better shape than the trucks, but probably the same problem about parts, I guess.

The value in Japan is questionable. You live in Zama city, the home of the Nissan Museum. Some discrete inquiries to the museum might lead to some restoration or good used parts. The museum just might make you an offer [can't beat that for value baseline]. In any case you would have to face the Chicken s++t inspection for such an old vehicle before you could register it.

Tip the museum on to the location of your find. They might be ale to help track down the owner.

The Nissan headquarters building in Yokohama is another possible source. I am thinking the PR shop. Tracking ownership of old models is down their alley.
