I have just bought a nice 1993 240 SX Vert and have about $5,000 in it. My insurance company will only insure it for $950-$1700 book value if it stolen or totalled. I need some kind of writen bid or evaluation to insure it for stated value. (CARMAX offerred me $500--I told them I would buy all the cars like mine for $500 each--have not heard form them again)
Also need to buy two nice sun visors.
Value for insurance.

ROFL! Thanks for your reply. I actually found and bought two OE sun visors last night on e-bay for $20.00 each--major victory.Serously, if I need an engine (I have 185,000 miles), can I find one?1998 engines seem available, but not 1993. Jus checking, as I have an oil leak nobody wants to fix.

Becareful on the forums bro. Some people can be pretty tough on ya if you do not offer up all the info you can on your issue. However you can find another KA if you look around. Any technical issues you have you can in detail describe them in the 240sx Tech. sub-forum. I almost fell out of my chair when I read that you assumed you could buy some 240sx's from CarMax for $500!!!! They will only give you five hundred for a "clunker" not sell it for that cheap though. I have a crappy Mitsu. Galant that had some frame damage, they wanted $500 for it and told me it wasnt safe to drive or sell to anyone else. What I found odd was if I had sold it for their offer I'm sure they would have sold it for triple that even knowing the weak frame would kill someone! Just thought I would share that with NICO!
