first, a little back ground:'90 ka24ewalboro 255lphTT fuel filtersaab T3 (small A/R, .42com/.48ex)12:1 FMUhomemade exhaust manifold, 2.5" intake/exhaustrecirculated BOVFMICstock MAFS, InjectorsMSD 6AL I have read and learned a lot over the last year, and I am finally going to pressurize the 240 today But I have a couple questions. Is there anything that would keep me from running the FPR off of a pure vacuum source, ie: port 20 on page EF&EC-7 from the '90 FSM, (it is at the back of the plenum) and get rid of the solenoids. I want to run the SCVs off of the same signal (if I understand, they close under plenum vacuum, and open at near atmo-positive pressure). I plan on keeping the Air Regulator and A.A.C. valve, but drop the EGR, I have already removed the A.I.V. and charcoal canister. So, to recap, FPR and SCV off of a pure vacuum, no solenoids; will it work? Also, the FMU and boost gauge will run off of the above source, wastegate will pull directly off of the compressor.

thanks for any help,TB

well, it's raining here anyway, I'll think about it tonight at work, run it tomorrow, and tell you all if it works.
