Been looking around for a while (i relaly like the catch can+butterfly vacuum stickies! )

Anyway, I'm doing a 5speed transmission swap + engine on a usdm/canadian pulsar SE (with ca18de, with another ca18de sinc ei spuna bearing -_-) and planning to drop a s13 ca18det in it later

My first question is, do the ca18dets have a AIV and EGR system? (mine does and aparently then don't work under boost? reguardless i'm scrapping them in the 5 speed swap and going to try and reocnnect the butterfly junk :P)

MY second question is does anyone know of any reputable jdm engine dealers westcoast or in canada that you have gotten a good ca18det from? I've been hesitant as of late since alot of dealers say they don't waranty their ca's due to them being too "old" that and they look like crap.

Anyway, thanks! :D

No EGR or AIV.

Good CA's are getting harder to find. You might try and find a cheap out and just plan on rebuilding it.

Good luck finding a motor in western Canada. jdmsource.com is your best bet but ive called many times and they never have them. I always see a few for sale coming from Quebec though.
