To clean the fuel injectors you must have a BG or equivalent pressure tank to recirculate the injector cleaner thru the fuel rail. The stuff is too strong to put in fuel tank.........use BG44k for this method.

The BG Induction Cleaner can be fogged into the plenum but you waste the cleaning ability by not spraying infront of throttle body.

I applied the throttle body cleaner already, just wondeing if this Fuel Injection System Cleaner should be sucked into the injection system rather than just pour it in. But cant find any vacuum port as mentioned, what is the hose under the air intake duct? And i see a hose on the throttle body, is that a Vacuum Port? Here are 2 pics i grabbed from Q45.orgAny of those hoses are Vacuum Hoses?thanx

How can you use injection cleaner without running it thru the injectors?

The plenum amd runner [up to the 16" length just before were the injectors mount] are the dirtiest part of the system. EGR carbon and PCV oil, plus dirt that made it thru air filter.Short of furry small trained animals you need a fogger.

If you look at the runners at and below the injectors into the heads you will see they are cleaned from the gasoline spray! Only the valve stems and piston tops are dirty with deposits.

THOSE BIG HOSES are to feed air to PCV and to IAC systems.........the fuel pressure regulator is a good source of vacuum as is the brake booster line.

Each kind/location of dirt requires different chemicals to clean effectively.

What I like to do is the following...

Take the TB off and clean itQuasi hand clean the plenum. you can get the body of the spider fairly clean..Use some intake cleaner to get carbon deposits offThen use BG44k and fuel rail flush..

remember most of these products are not intended to clean dirty things, they are intended to keep cleanish things clean!! Anything is generaly efforts in futility if you have not cleaned the intake recently (within say 60k)
