Alright,

Here we go, I have just recently rebuilt my SR20DET, all forged internals, and a full head build. The head has 264 HKS cams on the intake and 272 HKS cams on the exhaust side. I am wondering what kind of numbers people with this setup or one similar are seeing on their vacuum/boost gauge.

Prior to the build up of the head and stuffs, I was seeing an average number of 18 PSI of vacuum. Now I am seeing about 8 to 10 PSI of vacuum. I know that cams can change the ammount of vacuum that the motor produces, but I would like to know what other people are running in their cars with larger cam profiles.

Thanks in advance !

Ahhh another SR'd Indiana boy, I don't ever see other 240's. Doesn't help I live in BFE. It's good to know they are out there. And with the cams you will most definately have a lower vacuum. And that 8-10 range sounds about right for a 264/272 combo. I rung HKS 256 step 1's and it took my 18-20 down to a 15 on a 900 idle. I bet the thing sounds mean idling, must lope like crazy. Is it having trouble running?

Car is idling fine, with no other major problems, just some hessitation after 4000 RPM's but I will figure out that hopefully soon. I was just wondering how much vacuum I would probably be loosing with the new cam setup.

And just to let you and everyone else know, the car does lope something crazy at idle, and with the nismo motor mounts, it shakes the car left and right something awesome at a stop light !
