Vacuum log fittings, what size?

Pulling vacuum from each runner as a source, will the stock vaccuum orifices on the GSXR 1000 ITB's be ok? Will they generate enough for the brake booster once they're all t'd into a vac log?

Yes they will. On each of my throttles is the 2 stock vacuum nipples, i am grabbing one from each throttle that goes to my rail, brake booster works great at all pressures.

heres what my brake vacuum rail looks like. I used some steel hardline (hacked PS hardline from some nissan) and silver soldered the nipples and brackets.

Excellent, thanks!

I've been meaning to ask about idle control also, with your setup do you just have the throttles adjusted for one idle speed?

What i'm thinking of doing is adding another small fitting per runner, having it t'd together back into an adapter to retain the IACV.

I just have the mechanical throttle stop for idle, its reasonably stable at different temperatures. The stop adjuster has an external knob deal, I have it attached to my firewall for any time i need to adjust which is not often.

That iacv idea should work well, you could use a variety of different iacv units (might find one more suitable than the oem). Just make sure its not a stepper motor and has the proper resistance across the solenoid. Would be cool to see something like that set up and working with the nissan efi.

On the topic of brakes, and brake boosters this thought just occured to me. Are power assisted brakes non functional during boost? I never thought about that before seems a little scary.

Yeah they are functional on boost, i'm not sure on the details exactly of how the booster works, but it still works as required under positive pressure (as far as i'm aware anyway).

The booster is just a large bellows type unit. When i said scary i really mean that it would be really inconsistent braking force/feel at different pressure levels. I guess a true track car that happens to be boosted would have a high quality non-power assist system anyways.
