The other day I was looking under the hood and notice that one of my vacuum lines almost under the throttle body was disconnected. There's a place to hook up between two others, so I hooked it up and later that day my car wouldn't start, unhook it (don't know if it just a coincidence, didn't have any trouble before) and it started hard. Ever since it been sputtering and not wanting to start. Does any one know what those vacuum line go? I Have a few Ideas on to fix the sputtering but Ideas would help. Changed the TPS(not new), next I have a ECU from a parts car I'm gunna plug in then check MAF.

if it is the 89, you can check the computer coder without any kind of code reader, it has leds on the cpu and you can read it, and it will give you a general idea of where you problem is. im not sure if all s13's are this way.

Its a 89. Would there be codes even though the check engine light isn't on? I think that it smells kinda rich. Have you tried any thing to fix it?

did you cap any of those vac lines you went about pulling? Did you also make sure that you didn't pull the vac line that provides signal to the fpr?
