VACUUM LINES!!

ok so i'm ready to be flamed but i DID search but i'm still kinda unclear. i'm removing all my useless emissions right now and i have my intake manifold all taken off (oh yeah before i forget '92 ka24de)...i'm trying to follow fiznats awesome right up {thanksbytheway} but ok so i've taken everything out. on the back of the head there is still that jungle of metal pipes for the vacuum lines and i think a couple sensors too. i think i read that some people take it off? and if you do how do you plug it up? or can i just plug up all the tubes that i see behind the head right there? thanks..sorry i'm just a little bit confused. oh and when people talk about hooking up a catch can, how do you do it? and what is it exactly for? thanks a lot

yeah, i just did the same thing with my sohc yesterday. i dont think it would be much different for the 2 engines, but there were 3 12mm bolts back there that were hard to get to. i already had all of my vacuum lines plugged because i thought i had a vacuum leak, so i just took them off to kind of clean it up. i found the bolts pretty easily because i just swapped that engine into that car from my other 240. i know yours is dohc but this should help anyway http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1079. good luck

ok so when you unbolt the 'jungle of a mess' behind the head..whats back there? do you need to seal anything up?

nope, there's nothing back there except a weird hump. nothing to seal besides of course the vacuum lines themselves
