Hey guys, Had an RB25 turbo on my rb20det, and it blew apart, anyways ... i put the stock rb20 turbo back on, but in the mix i ended up with an extra Vacuum line. I thought this would just slip over the nipple on the wastegate actuator, because im pretty sure this is where the line was ran to in the old setup. Problem is, there is already a line that runs from the nipple on the actuator to the centre part of the turbo and im left with no place for my line.

Pictures follow, if someone could point me in the right direction or make a suggestion it would be appreciated. Probally a very easy solution...

The intercooler piping is not complete, so dont worry about the missing clamp and what not.

thanks, greatly appreciated.

Mike

ok , so i should block it off ? I thought there was a vacuum line that went to the turbo... i didnt understand how it would get a reading from the boost gauge but it makes sence now.

Boost reading comes from the back of the intake manifold for the stock skyline gauge.I blocked mine off but may use it later.

Lol, i don't plan on the 1000 hp ... I had my swap done this summer at a shop and thats the intercooler pipe they used .... I'm a welder fabricator by trade so replacing it will be a easy project i'm just crazy busy with college and im only home ( where the z is in storage ) for a weekend every couple months so i've been ordering parts and picking away at it while i have the chance.

What would you recommend using for piping as far as diametre and schedual? ... im looking to get about 350 reliable whp as far as my power goals go.

You shouldn't need any of those hard lines, as they are for OEM emissions or something that's useless.

The stock wastegate on the rb20 should have a pressure feed off the compressor cover.

I blocked the source for that hard line at the manifold. My BOV uses the other manifold attachment for its vac/boost source.

And on the spot where the hard line has the 10mm bolt holding it up, I ran my maf wires and made a bracket to that bolt. They aren't extended and I have plenty of slack.
