please see above video/picture. am talking about the 'C' shaped hose in middle that is going from bottom to top (throttle body). as you can see, pipe is split open at bottom.

i looked FSM for 98 i30 in 'ec' section but i did not find any picture talking about this hose.

appreciate any pointers. can i get this hose only at dealer?

thank you.

Well, I don't know, but the large vacuum hoses usually go to the following:
intake manifold to brake booster
PCV to intake manifold (see EC-28, looks kind of shaped the same in picture)
valve cover to intake piping before the throttle, possibly to air filter box

I hope that helps!

7/16" I.D. PCV line will work.
No need for a part number here

Are you getting a better response with the inline injection hose clamped in place on the rail?
That's not stock is it?

I'm seeing the fuel rail with rubber hose too.
You may want 1/4" fuel injection hose there with fuel injection clamps.
Those other clamps are not going to hold up!
You may have a fuel leak from those!

Well, you're gonna need to remove it to replace it, so take it off and bring it in. They simply want to match the hose inside diameter and maybe the material. Pre-bent is nice when you need to clear other components, but plain old hose is good enough if it's okay to touch other things along the path.

Did you figure out which hose it is and what it connects to and from? I see the picture on page 30, but it doesn't talk about it in the text and I don't recognize it.

The fuel line in my car is 9/32 but the parts store wants to sell me on 1/4" or 5/16 because they don't carry the 9/32".

And that PCV hose in my max is 13/32 so that's around 10.5mm.
I ordere 10.5mm 13/32" steel braided line on eBay and it works fine.
The fuel line I guess you'd want exact at 9/32.
