Hey a friend of mine is giving me an Autometer vacuum gauge and I remember reading somewhre that you can use use a Vacuum gauge as a boost gauge you just have to read it backwards. I was wondering if that information was correct if so how do I read it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that'll work. Vaccum is negative air pressure, boost is positive air pressure. I think negative pressure would have to be produced before the needle will move. Boost gauges aren't that expensive anyway. Try http://www.nocturnalmotorsports.com/tosgauges . They're better than Autometer. BTW, I know there are DSM logos all over the page, but a boost gauge is a boost gauge no matter what.

Are you sure that it isn't a boost gauge that reads vacuum AND boost?
