Situation: Stock Intake tube has 4 nipples with tubes coming out of it...2 on the tube, one just before the throttle body, and one big tube underneath...

Question: what are these tubes for...what can be eliminated...and on a turbo setup...where do these tubes need to be reconnected on new piping? I'm not sure what the proper terminology is, but the way I see it is one intake pipe from filter to turbo and another pipe is to intercooler.

Another Question: where do I tee the boost gauge?...the filter side pipe or after the turbo on the intercooler pipe?

i think i can help you with a couple of those....

-the valve cover vent goes between your turbo and mafs, some people also put a breather on this.-the air idler goes onto the cold pipe.-i believe the other line is for the charcoal canister, hopefully someone can clear that up.

i tee'd my boost gauge into the fpr vac. line

You can get rid of the big one on the bottom. It goes into a box. No idea what it does, but my car is running great without it. Sorry to hijack but I would like to know if the carbon canister can go and what to do with the vac lines running to it? Thanks.

what is fpr vac?

i understant between turbo and mafs, but which one is the cold pipe...before intercooler? after inter cooler? Is that what u mean?

fpr = fuel pressure regulator, it is behind your intake manifold. Carb canister can go. Plug it's vacume lines, and trace it's source from the fuel tank as far back as it can go, cut it, and plug it up too.

yeah if you look at the fpr, youll see a fuel return line coming out and going down, and a vaccuum line going into the block. i cut the the vac line and put a tee there, i can show you a pic of you'd like.cold pipe = after IChot pipe = before ICim sure the idler could go to either one, but the cold pipe will be closest.
