How would I find a vacume leak?

put spit on every part of every hose and it will bubble

that would only work if the pressure in the hose was positive, and since we are dealing with vaccume, the pressure would be negative, so it would suck the spit in. Ive heard that you can buy a can of starting fluid, and spray at the hoses that you think might be leaking while the car is running. if the idle goes up, you have a leak there, if it doesnt, then you dont.
