vacum problem

I have a91 sentra se-r with a sr20 det that i just installed,my boost gauge fluctuates from 15 to 13 when it it given gas and regonizes boost it starts missing and popping when i let out of it the boost gauge pulls 20 in. then falls back down and fluctuates between 15 and 13 in. any help appreciated!

so missing and popping is normal hey ? Ithought you should pull around 20in.

I am trying to get all the little bugs worked out of it but it seems to not want to work with me, while running lastnight it started cutting out on me like it was running out of fuel, I put fuel in it and it would only hit on one cylinder ran acompresion test 160 all the way across, and firin and fuel to every cylinder has anyone had this problem??? This is going to sound stange but i think i have 3 dead plugs? I will post tomorow if that was the problem. All help appreciated

If you had 3 dead plugs, you wouldn't be running. You aren't gonna run on 1 cylinder :)

Is it possible you are running too rich? If you are running too rich you could be puting out the flame on the spark and misfiring.

Iam not running on one cylinder , in fact all it will do is hit one time per revolution the plug hiting is #1, I can take the #1 plug and put it in #2,3,4 and it is the only dry plug and the 3 that are dead are soaked in any cylinder you put them in, Strange hey

Almost acts like metered air isnt getting into the combustion chamber. Will check tommorow:thinker

Is your BOV vented to the atmosphere? Or is it recirculating?

open atmosphere,that was the problem,it was washing the plugs out, i did have three dead plugs afterall but it all comes back to running BOV open atmosphere. thanks for the help

What kind of plugs are you running. Recommended is BKR7E's. Gapped between .30 and .40. Something you have to play with there. Obviously the bigger the gap, the more power, but there becomes a point when the spark will blow out too soon. Vacuum should read between 16-20 @ idle.

When i recieved the motor it had NGK pfr6b's,it ran real good but after i drove it for a while it seemed like it was washing the plugs out again?
