for the past couple months i have been using the hardlines under the throttle body for my bov and msd btm. well i always had a doubt neither was working right. the other day and today i moved the vaccuum's to the FPR line and everything now works right. im lucky i didnt blow my engine from running a close to stock timing map or destroyed my turbo from surge.

i did have the egr blocked off for this time, id ont knwo if this would affect them. i recently removed the carbon can but this was cafter the things wrent working.

i jsut wanted to let anyone know that didnt know, like me.

very tru, now i jsut have to get my base timing set right. whne i unplug the tps i can get it to idel but its only gets down to about 1300rpm's. im going to try to adjust the idle today. i might be able to get a hold of an techtom.

ryan- when i adjsut the idle with the tps unpluged and set the base timing, will i have to put the idle back where it was so it will idle right whne i plug the tps back in?

not sure. just idle down to 700 rpms with idle air screw after you unplug the TPS and then set your timing. if the rpms want to jump down too far after you plug the tps back in, then have someone stay on the throttle a little to maintain idle so you can adjust the idle screw.

there are really only 3 or 4 vaccuum sources on the engine. anything else is teed off. There is one for the brake booster, one 4 into 1 under the runners, a small one towards the front. And then I can't remember but there might be another large one towards the inside.

I'm running my wastegate actuator (internal type) vacuum line to my Boost control Valve (Greddy Profec E-01) which then runs to the pre-intercooler piping, directly after the turbo. This is how the Greddy directions said to set it up though. I always thought that it should be run from the AFR line too.

DOES THIS SEEM WRONG?

Could you show me a picture of how you have it set up? Or make a diagram or something?

you can actually run the wastegate line right off the compressor if your turbo is so equipped. it just depends if you want your wastegate reacting to the boost at the intake manifold, or back at the compressor. cause they aren't the same. for the other stuff, you don't wanna tee em all off one of them, you will end up necking it all down. I'd stick the brake booster where it came from, and use the smaller one for your accessories and the larger one for the bovs or fpr.
