Alright, I put a CA in an 89 S13... all the mechanical stuff was easy and really fun! the problems I'm having is that for some reason it's taking starter fluid to crank it... it runs smooth and everything after it starts and if I turn it off I can start it without the fluid if it's a little warm still...

next problem is with the vaccum lines... I used the diagram that someone posted on here (I think I did it right for the most part)... the only think I'm not sure about is it says from the wastegate to the hot pipe and I don't have factory hot pipe, it came with the blitz bov and hot pipe... so I don't know how to route everything for the wastegate and stuff so when I get it on the road I'll ether get no boost or a crap load... could anyone post pics of it or explain it? sorry, I'm a noob to the 240 thing, I've been a honda guy that's crossing over

oh and also can you tell me if these two lines are the fpr and the butterfly valves? I t'd them off and hooked them to the intake manifold, I'll try to get more pics posted tomorrow or something...

well it's an old pic... crap... I'll take another pic tomorrow but it's running smoother the way I've got it hooked up... and the butterfly vavle is right beside the fpr and almost looks the same from the top but it's alittle bit bigger regulator... correct... oh and I didn't hook it up to the one that circled, I just posted the pic so you'd have an idea of what I'm talkin about...

For my wastegate, I use the vac nipple just behind the throttle body, and I T into that line for my BOV as well. When I get my hotpipe made, I am going to add a wastegate nipple. The rest looks ok.

For the startup: Double check for vac leaks, and try changing the temperature sensor. Use this one:http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3...d=977

OR just get one for a 1988 Pulsar DOHC 1.8l.

thanks... btw, I bypassed the 4 vaccum lines that went to the secondary carbon canisters and stuff...

I'm using the second vaccum source behind the throttle body for my bov.. it's the one that did go to the carbon canister originally, I took it off too... but alls I got to do is tee that one into the wastegate too? is there a nipple on the compressor housing that I have to run one from or will this one do everything that I need? sorry, I really am a noob when it comes to these engines and I don't know everything about turbo setups ether... thanks for the quick response though!

You should be able to use that diagram. If you don't have a connection on the front of the turbo for the wastegate, just "T" off the line for the BOV. The better way would be to drill and tap a nipple into the oulet elbow on the turbo. You want to keep your wastegate line as short as possible.

Yes, the FPR and butterfly valve actuator do look similar from the top. The butterfly valve actuator is the larger one closer to the motor.

that's the diagram that I followed... the only thing is that I dont have the nipple on the hot pipe so I was confused on how to do the wastegate line... THANKS
