can the things circled below be used as vac ports for lets say a BOV, boost gauge? do i just run a silicon line from one of the nipples to the bov or boost gauge?

The one on the top or middle. The one on the bottom looks like it is before the TB so it wont due for your application. Find the port that goes to the FPR. That always runs off of manifold pressure so that would be a good starting point. Maybe one of the SOHC guys can help you out more. Good luck.~Sam

I couldnt really tell you what those vac lines are originally for because I'm not really that familiar with the SOHC engine, but anything that comes directly off of the intake manifold pleneum will serve as a perfectly fine vaccum. I would avoid the one right next to the throttle body though as readings from there might be a little too sensetive to throttle movements.

yes dont use the one on the throttle body but the other two are fine for bov or whatever else you need a vacuum source for. any port after the throttle body will work fine.

Yes, perfect, good. Do that.

What are you doing for your wastegate boost reference? Hint: "T" off the BOV line, unless you're using a signal from the compressor outlet.
