Is it needed? If not, anyone got a vac routing diagram without it? Since I got it, should I use it? Is the wiring plug attached to it just hooked to a 12v source, or does it go to the ecu? Will the ecu miss it, if it's gone?

Also, that solinoid thing thats right next to the ignitor mounted on the right side......is there a way to bypass that? The actuator line is tapped into this along with a vac line.

I would like to eliminate some of this crap if possible

Based on the vac diagram posted ........

thats all we need? Is the solinoid thing that the acuator hose tee's to on the fender isn't needed? I can just run a vac line from the acuator to the comp housing?

thats not "correct" from the factory setup point of view, but it will work. the factory setup is godawful complicated, I have approximated it with parts from various USDM nissans and it's disgusting to see in person.

some day I hope to kill all the vacuum hoses for butterfly operation with a servo/stepper motor and all the idle BS with a throttle body that has a single integrated idle controller. that'd would be teh win.

In English that means, yes that will work just fine. The butterfly valves aren't technically hooked up properly in that diagram, as there is supposed to be an extra wire that controls a solenoid that activates the butterflys, but it's a bit of work and not nessicary to make the car run.

In english...............how about the solenoid on the left hand side, mounted on the strut tower across from the turbo with the acuator line, and vac line hooked up to it? Don't see that stuff in the diagram...........so can it can be left off? If so, how about the electrical plug connector thats plugged to it? Leave it connected with no vac lines? Or can it be unplugged and removed along with it's vac lines?

Yes, that solenoid can be left out. It is there to open the reference line to the FPR to atmosphere during hot starts to improve starting. I've never had the CA have a problem with hotstarts and would recomend routing the lines as pictured and not plugging the solenoid in.
