I should know better than to work on it when I'm pissed, but I did. So, I know I've jacked up my vac lines to the point that it dies as soon as I put it in gear. Once it gets light out and warms up a bit, I'll cap everything I can and run the line from the distributor to the carb. I know that it will run like this and run fine, but it will be running too rich for me. I have a 120 mile daily commute, so I can't afford to have it run rich. I need to suck out every MPG I can out of it.

Part of my problem is that some of the lines had restrictors in them and I didn't know they were there and tossed the old hoses. If the diagrams show which ones have them, I can't figure it out.

Is there anyone in the Puget Sound area that has a truck with all of its lines still intact that I could use as a guide?

Pulled most of the vac lines. It runs. It idles high in neutral, but I can drive it.

Handles so much better now that there are bushings for the stabilizer bar link and the tension bars.
