The last thing I did on the Q was flush the radiator. I brought 1 gallon of anti-free and 7 gallons of distilled water. So the cost was around $10. The radiator flush was for preventive maintainance at 60K miles. I didn't notice any difference to the car.

Since you just brought your car, I would recommend a transmission flush for your car. It costs $125 at the Infiniti dealer, $110 at the Nissan dealer or $89 at Jiffy Lube.

do the flushes now!!!!!! will give you a starting point to gauge your maintenance schedule. an engine flush might not be neccessary, depending. i flushed the brakes with valvoline syntech brake fluid. did the rear diff. with mobil 1, the transmission with mobil 1, power steering with mobil 1 trans fluid, and the radiator with distilled water and the orange stuff, with redline water wetter. do searches if necessary to get all the facts, but GET IT DONE. if you're looking for "seat of your pants" performance difference with the flushes, don't count on it!!!! but very, very, very important. JUST DO IT!!!!JEFF
